Anxiety & Sleep Clinic: Starting in Fall 2022, our clinic will be regularly offering services focused specifically on anxiety & sleep-related problems, including panic attacks, phobia, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and insomnia. Services offered include assessment and treatment of a wide range of problems, such as interpersonal and relationship difficulties, personal adjustment problems, and anxiety, depression, or other emotional concerns. If you have concerns related to your estimate or would like to initiate a dispute, please first contact your provider or the MU PSC during business hours. We are currently accepting referrals for short-term (1-5 sessions) telehealth services to help farmers, ranchers, other rural Missourians, and their immediate family members build stress-reduction skills and resilience. Affordable help for those who need it. We have limited openings for adult clients who are interested in in-person or telehealth services that are not part of our COVID-stress services. Openings are very limited and typically occur in December, April and June. If you are not a student at Miami University, you may request a visitors pass for your car at the clinic office. Student clinicians are always supervised and advised by registered clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists during all treatments. Insurance: The PSC accepts most insurance, and our faculty psychologists are on the provider panels of several managed care companies (including managed care organizations and preferred provider organizations). Fees for PSC services are covered by a combination of client insurance, grants and contracts, and client fees. For clients who are uninsured, ineligible for grant-supported services, or whose services are not covered by insurance, income-based fee assistance is available. Psychotherapy is provided by advanced graduate students who are supervised by experienced clinicians. Students in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program occasionally conduct research projects through the clinic. The Mary D. Ainsworth Psychological Clinic is a facility sponsored by the Department of Psychology’s Clinical Training Program. The Psychology Clinic has a committee (PCC) comprised of Clinical Psychology Program Executive Council (CEC) faculty members, one of whom is the Psychology Clinic Director and chair of the committee. As of Spring 2020, the Psychology Clinic is pleased to partner with the UCSF-UC Berkeley Schwab Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity Center.
